Rockwall Christmas Company
In 2021, I stepped in as Marketing Director for Rockwall Christmas Company, a local ecommerce business based in Rockwall, Texas that sells “Christmas Crates”. These crates are themed decorations designed to make tree decorating convenient and easy!
From the ground up, I built their digital presence: launching their website, creating and managing their Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, and developing a content and growth strategy. We grew the Facebook community to 25,000 likes and generated more than 2 million website visits and more than $1 million in revenue.. This role allowed me to apply data-driven marketing tactics in a fast-paced, seasonal retail environment.
Website Creation
I built the Rockwall Christmas Company website using Squarespace, making sure it embodied the festive and elegant nature of the brand. I hired a photographer, staged the product shots myself, and creatively directed the entire look and feel. I also shot and edited videos, wrote every bit of copy, and added blog content to help drive SEO. To build credibility on the website, I personally called over 500 customers to ask for them to leave reviews on the site. We also ran paid Google ads to boost visibility and came up with fun seasonal ideas like flash sales and a spinning wheel for surprise discounts. It was a challenging but rewarding project, and I’m so grateful for all I’ve learned about marketing from RCC!
Socials
When I started with Rockwall Christmas Company, the Facebook page didn’t exist. I built it from the ground up and grew it to over 25,000 likes. I posted consistently, boosted content that performed well, and focused on a mix of posts that felt personal and relevant: family stories, product highlights, behind-the-scenes prep, and time-sensitive deals. Facebook became our most engaged platform and our primary driver for sales outside of Google.
One highlight was landing a feature for Rockwall Christmas Company in American Farmhouse Style magazine. I coordinated the opportunity and made sure we shared it across our social platforms to build credibility and reach new audiences. We kept our TikTok presence light, mostly experimenting with a few short videos around crate themes and seasonal promos.
We also shared content regularly on Instagram. I focused on creating cohesive visuals and reels that matched the brand's aesthetic. While it didn’t drive the same traffic as Facebook, it gave us a great platform for brand recognition and customer interaction, especially with repeat buyers and early fans.
Overall, our social strategy was built on consistency, testing, and paying attention to what worked. I kept a close eye on metrics, adjusted when needed, and made sure every post was reaching the ideal audience.

I used SEO to help Rockwall Christmas Company show up higher in Google search results, and now we rank #1 when you search “Christmas Decorations Kit.” I spent time researching the top keywords that are Googled around the holidays and built our content around those keywords. I wrote all of the blog posts with SEO in mind, making sure they were helpful and drove traffic to our website. I also updated product descriptions and site copy to reflect what people were looking for during the holidays, ensuring we were providing value to customers. It wasn’t overnight, but over time we saw a big jump in organic traffic, especially during the peak season.

I partnered with USA Today/Gannett Media to run national print and digital campaigns for Rockwall Christmas Company, helping us reach audiences across the U.S. These campaigns brought in over 2 million website visits and generated more than $1 million in revenue. Alongside the print exposure, we boosted Facebook posts using targeting strategies recommended by the Gannett team to increase visibility and engagement. We also invested in paid search to improve our ranking on Google and capture more seasonal traffic. Through combined traditional and digital marketing, we achieved incredible results.

We reached over 2 million website visits, brought in more than $1 million in revenue, and built a loyal social following of 25,000+. By combining strategic content, targeted ads, and SEO, we turned seasonal interest into consistent growth year after year.
